Runtime Error 75, Path/File Access Error
Check to see if any of the application's files or folders are marked as read-only. Uncheck any files or folders marked as read-only and try again.

Runtime Error 339, msadod.ocx or dependency is not correctly registered
Whether you've run a local install or a network client install, the application may not have installed correctly on your PC.

Uninstall and reinstall, making sure to be logged on as an administrator. If trying to access the program at the server from a PC, you may not have the network client installed on your PC, which will cause this error. Install the network client on your PC and try again.

Runtime Error 429, Active X Component
Both versions of Global IP Estimator (Online & desktop) require Microsoft's Data Access Components (MDAC). While these are frequently already installed, there are many versions of these components, and problems can arise in their installation and use. The initial installation of Global IP Estimator does not include any of these components.

Upgrade your MDAC or install Jet 4.0 depending on your operating system (OS).

Runtime Error 3706, Provider Not Found

Check to see if any of the application's files or folders are marked as read-only. Uncheck any files or folders marked as read-only and try again.

Monthly Maintenance Messages
Cannot find the file INSTMSIA
Cannot find path ../gipuser.mdb or other database file
Reinstall the update and make sure no one is using the program. If the problem persists, check that the following four databases exist in the Application/Database folder:

gipdata.mdb, gipuser.mdb, gipuser2.mdb, gipuser_base.mdb

Runtime Error 3704, Operation not allowed when the object is closed
Update was installed to the wrong folder, or the installation was interrupted.

Uninstall the monthly update by going into your Windows/Control Panel and choosing Add/Remove Programs. Select the item 'Global IP Estimator Monthly Update' to remove. Do not remove the original installation called 'Global IP Estimator'. If the computer does not allow you to do this for security reasons, then rerun the update and when it offers the choice to Modify/Repair/Remove, choose Remove.

You may then reinstall the update. Make sure that you choose the correct application folder when reinstalling.

The feature you are trying to use is not on a network resource that is available
First, download the Microsoft Windows Patch Registration Cleanup Tool and run this program.

Use it to remove only the 'Global IP Estimator Monthly Update'. Do not remove the original installation called 'Global IP Estimator'. The next step is to clear out items that you can delete from both the Windows/Downloaded Installations and Windows/Temp folders, and then restart the computer.

Runtime Error 3265, Item could not be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal
This usually happens when the database (usually 'gipdata') is not of the same month as the executable. Delete gipdata.mdb and then rerun the update choosing 'Repair'.

Runtime Error 9, Subscript out of range
Excel needs to be configured to start up with at least 3 sheets in a new workbook.

To configure, in Excel choose File/Options and click on the 'General' tab. Under 'When creating new workbooks', ensure that 'Include this many sheets' is set to at least 3.

Reporting Messages
Illegal Operation: msado15.dll
We will need to see your report log to review the details about where this problem is occurring.

To get a report log, press and hold the number '9' key, and start Global IP Estimator. Next, generate a sample report. Once the error occurs, close the program. Go into the application's folder, and you should find a file called 'reporting.gip' which contains the report information. This file can then be emailed to us at qipadmin@quantifyip.com.

Error 713, Application-defined or Object-defined error when running report from reports menu, and the program freezes
Download both 'crviewer.dll' and 'craxdrt.dll'

How to install under 32-bit Windows
Place the downloaded files into the \Windows\System32 folder. You will then need to register the dll. To do this, look for the 'regsvr32.exe' file in your Windows System32 folder and drag the icon for 'crviewer.dll' on top of the icon for 'regsvr32.exe'. Repeat for 'craxdrt.dll'. This will run the registration process. Upon completion, you should receive a message that the registration succeeded.

Place the downloaded files into the \Windows\SysWOW64 folder. You will then need to register the dll. To do this, click on the Start menu and enter "cmd" in the "Search programs and files" field, then enter the Administrator's password, if prompted.

In the new window that opens, enter the following commands:
  1. cd \Windows\SysWOW64
  2. regsvr32.exe crviewer.dll
  3. regsvr32.exe craxdrt.dll
After each regsvr32 command, you should receive a message that the registration succeeded.
